Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson comes from a family with a strong musical background. Her early years were shaped by classical music, boleros and the more traditional romantic, ranchero and romantic ballads. Ana has a passion for Tangos, opera, and all forms of dramatic performance. Her mother teaches her how to sing, but she started intensive training in vocals with Flavio Belcerra at 16 when Belcerra was an internationally acclaimed Mexican opera tenor. Her music training continued in the School of Music of Guadalajara University. Later, she attended an institution called the School of Sacred Music of Toluca. While a young student and professional, she performed with numerous chamber ensembles and opera choirs in Guadalajara and Mexico City. She was a member of the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus in the United States before moving to the southern part of California. She's a regular solo performer at events, private parties and other occasions and performs classical Latin American Music. Passion and enthusiasm in music, art and performing has her involved with a variety of local initiatives as a teacher and performer. Ana was a member of both the Community Chorus of Redlands and Inland Master Chorale. She is presently a professor of The Performance Loft. Ana finds it a privilege to be able be able to share her love for the tradition of Latin American music. She hopes that this will encourage younger generations to keep the tradition alive.
